A working wiki for Terrible Lizards: chapter routes, the full monster roster, Dennis, collectibles, achievements and the ending.
Terrible Lizards Wiki
Terrible Lizards is a first-person horror parkour game set inside Dalton's Dinos, a faded dinosaur attraction on Route 66 in New Mexico. The date is September 19, 1992. You play Jordan, a college student driving from Chicago to Los Angeles before the fall semester, and your car dies in a parking lot that should be empty. Stella, a paleontologist and old friend of the park's owners, reaches you through a headset. Dalton Coolidge and his son DJ are missing. Something else is living under the attraction.
This wiki collects what the game actually says, what the achievements confirm, and what the chapter structure makes clear, without padding. It covers the four creatures, the routes through each chapter, every collectible set, the single ending, New Game Plus, platforms and price. Where a detail is still community-reported rather than confirmed in-game, the page says so.

One store-page detail is worth correcting up front: Steam's genre list includes a Free To Play tag. The same page sells the game at $24.99 with a 20 percent launch discount, and the PlayStation and Xbox listings do the same. Treat the tag as a metadata error, not a business model. There is no free version of the full game.
The title is not a review quote. Dinosaur comes from the Greek deinos, meaning terrible, and sauros, meaning lizard. The developers lean on that translation throughout the park's branding.
Dalton's Dinos, the place
Dalton's Dinos is a roadside attraction built by Dalton and Elena Coolidge, two paleontologists who found a rare duelling-dinosaurs fossil a couple of miles from the site. The park funded their digs. For about fifteen years it was a working stop on Route 66, then the interstate pulled traffic away and the attraction aged badly. The animatronics still move. The gift shop still has stock on the shelves. The staff is gone.
The park is only the first act. Below the museum, the maintenance corridors and the ride building, the ground opens into a cave system that the owners knew about and did not advertise. The game moves from carpeted exhibits and fluorescent gift-shop lighting into wet limestone, wooden scaffolding and black biomass. Each chapter pushes you further from the postcard version of the park.
The art direction does most of the storytelling. Mascot suits hang in backstage corridors with their heads still on. A globe spins in a dark room while a Paleo Pal watches from a booth. A warning sign reads SLOPE HAZARD in front of a drop you cannot see the bottom of. There is no map screen and no quest log; the environment and Stella's radio calls carry the direction.

The four creatures
The game credits four principal creatures, and each one owns a different kind of fear.
| Creature | What it is | How it pressures you |
|---|---|---|
| The Hybrid | A Dilophosaurus-human hybrid, designed by RJ Palmer | Stalks, screams and forces route changes |
| Bronto | A Brontosaurus with a roaming AI | Occupies open space; you move around it, not through it |
| Allo | An Allosaurus built for short, lethal bursts | Closes lanes in arena-style hunts |
| Pterry | A pterosaur added during production | Attacks from angles you are not watching |
The Paleo Pals are separate: Benji the Brontosaurus, Alistair the Allosaurus, Stephanie the Stegosaurus and Dennis the Dilophosaurus. They began as mascot suits in the museum and become something harder to explain underground. The Dennis page handles that thread separately because it is the game's biggest open question.
Chapters at a glance
Terrible Lizards uses four numbered chapters, confirmed by the achievement list. The first is the attraction itself: museum, gift shop, backstage, power restoration. The second moves into the mining outposts and the Lake Cave, with the gondola cable car and two Bronto boulder pursuits. The third is the flooded electrical section, four fuse circuits and the Allosaurus arenas. The fourth is the final ascent, the Crew Lift, DJ and Dennis.
The walkthrough hub keeps the spoiler-light route order and links each chapter. If you only want one page, start with Chapter 2, because the difficulty curve turns there and the collectible count jumps.
What there is to find
Collectibles come in four types: audio tapes, notes, amber samples and stuffed animals. The achievements set the totals for two of them. Bingo, Dino DNA requires all sixteen amber samples, and every fourth sample unlocks a New Game Plus modifier. You Go Here requires all four stuffed animals to be placed on their pedestals.
The note and tape totals are larger and the game does not surface a counter until you are close to finishing a set. The collectibles page explains what counts, which chapter holds the known missable note, and how the amber rewards connect to New Game Plus.
Story and ending, without the spoiler in the title
The story is about a family that found something under its own attraction and kept digging. Dalton's audio diaries and Elena's letters fill in the years before Jordan arrives. Stella's calls fill in the present. DJ is the child at the center of it, and Dennis is the reason the search keeps turning into a chase.
The game has one main ending. A branching ending was cut during development, so do not expect a choice wheel at the end. The ending explained page walks through the final ascent, what happens to Dennis, and the last shot with Stella's car. The story explained page covers the timeline and the black goo in more detail.
Platforms, performance and price
PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S all run the same game. Xbox Game Pass subscribers can play it at no extra cost on day one, which makes the Xbox version the cheapest way in if you already subscribe. A Switch 2 version has been discussed by the developers as a hope, not an announcement; do not buy the game expecting a handheld port.
The platforms page breaks down the differences, including the Xbox performance complaints around the final chase. The price page tracks the standard price, the launch discount and what the Dead by Daylight crossover adds.
How to use this wiki
Every page is written to be read before or during a run. Chapter pages avoid story spoilers until the final section. Creature pages are safe to read early. The ending and story pages are not.
If you are stuck on a specific creature, go straight to all monsters or the individual files for the Brontosaurus, the Allosaurus and the Hybrid. If you are hunting achievements, the achievement guide lists all fifteen with their global completion rates, which shows exactly which collectible sets almost nobody finishes.
The wiki is maintained against the live game and the public achievement data. Numbers that change with patches, such as completion percentages, are dated. Story facts are checked against in-game text, the developers' own devlogs and the official PlayStation Blog interview rather than secondhand summaries.
